Converted Brewery Apartment

Whitechapel, E1

2 Bedrooms | 1 Bathrooms | 2 Reception Rooms

Per Week

An exceptional split-level space to rent in former East London brewery building.

Completely hidden from the frenetic hustle and bustle of Whitechapel Road, which is immediately on the door step, it’s so quiet, you’ll forget you’re only a 20 min or so walk to the City of London.

The slightly anonymous wooden door from the street opens in to an absolute oasis of calm. An immaculate residents courtyard with its retained period features unfolds as you head toward a modern glazed entrance. From here a few flights of stairs carry you to the apartment.

It’s worth the trek up to the 3rd floor. The corner positioning of the apartment with its urban views leaves you with a feeling of isolation from the rest of the building.

The lower floor is a bright, well-appointed and well-proportioned space. Two double bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom can be found as you navigate your way round to one of the two receptions which sits under the galleried void of the second reception which is accessed via the spiral staircase sitting in the corner of the room. This second room is exceptional and would work well as a great size home office if required or just a private snug to tuck yourself away.

When the weather allows, head up one flight of stairs to the glorious communal terrace. There’s a “private members” vibe about this floor which pretty much spans the entire roof.

The building is located in one of East London’s travel hub hot spots. Whitechapel station in no more than 3 mins walk. From here, The District Line carries you in to the City and beyond, to Richmond and Wimbledon or hugging North London via The Hammersmith & City Line taking in Farringdon, Euston and Paddington. It’s also a stop for The London Overground as it passes from South London and heads East to Stratford and the new Elizabeth Line which runs from SE London all the way to Heathrow Via Canary Wharf. If that’s not good enough, there’s a huge choice of busses available on Whitechapel Road.

This diverse area means a hugely diverse mixture of social haunts. Bars, coffee shops, restaurants and convenience stores everywhere cater for just about any price range and cuisine preference.
