Situated in the heart of Holborn, the Old School House was established in 1877 as one of the first schools under the newly established 'London School Board'.

Part of the historic parish of St Andrew’s, Holborn, the whole area was developed well before the school was built. The majority of the area was home to tradesman and artisans.

According to the Robson’s Directory (one of the earliest street directory’s in the world) for 1840, the street had a carpenters, tailors, a plumber and a pub 'The Dog & Duck' (closed in 1869).

Through the former girl’s entrance, and into a communal corridor, you walk into a bright open-plan reception with a huge room for relaxing and dining. A kitchen is located the front, whilst a floor to ceiling glass doors lead onto a patio garden to the rear.

Not overlooked, and with a south facing aspect, the patio is a great space to step out and enjoy an evening wine. Given the unique aspect of the School House, the surrounding buildings provide a great visual history of 150/200 year old Georgian & Victorian terraces.

Up onto the first floor, there is master bedroom with ensuite bathroom & smaller second bedroom. On the second floor, you find a feature third bedroom with plenty of storage space, with an adjacent family bathroom. There is also an office area mid-floor, useful for the a spare space for the essential work from home desk.

Exposed beams complete the top floor, which is perfect for a second reception room-cum-second office, a requirement for working couples & families.

Princeton Street is located close to Red Lion Square, Coram Fields & Russell Square to the North, all great green escapes.

Soho & Bloomsbury are on your doorstep, with the British Museum & Covent Garden all less than a 10 minute walk.

Local pubs include The Old Red Lion & The Enterprise. Lambs Conduit Street, just around the corner, is your best local independent scene, with a vast array of restaurants, pubs, bars & independent shops to choose from. The best recommended local coffee house is The Espresso Room, just over the square.

Transport wise, Holborn & Chancery Lane for the Central & Piccadilly Lines are 5 minutes away. Farringdon Station, soon to be the centre of Crossrail, is less than 15 minutes walk and connects all four corners of London & beyond.
